We tasted in the Hudson Valley, within minutes of the RV park in Newburgh, NY.

Many of the fruit farms (peaches, cherries, apples) have been converted to grapes, not just in Hudson Valley, but many states. There was still a lot of fruit to be seen as we drove around the area, though. We take advantage of them all...

Shawangunk Wine Trail

Adair vineyards, just down the road from the RV park... The tasting room is in an old barn, we have seen lots of old barns lately...
Upstairs in the barn, we find the wine and are ready to taste...

Rivendell Winery just waiting for us... The tasting room and beautiful grounds.
Lots of vineyards, these are Whitecliff's vineyards Some of the equipment it takes to make wine, you have a de-stemmer and some stainless fermentation tanks.
The white cliffs that the winery got their name from. These are not ghosts, they are grape vines that have been covered with nets to keep the deer and birds from the grapes.  This is the heaviest I have seen grapes netted, but we did see lots of nets.
New wine tasting friends, Irwin & Deborah McKown.  We ran into them at the 2nd winery and decided to stay together to finish out the day.  They are into skeet & clay shooting but with a challenge, you have to move from station to station.  They manage a website all about Shooting Sports. Really nice people :)

Last, but not least, Stoutridge Vineyard. Tasting room, winery and distillery, all in one very nice building.
Steve Osborn, very proud of his entire project; winery & distillery. Steve and his specially made fermentation barrels.

One of the stills in the distillery.  Keep a look out for Stoutridge Vodka some day soon. View from the outdoor patio of the property at Stoutridge.
